Chefs, who may have been known for their exclusive 5-star restaurants 5 years ago, are now full fledged brands because of stations like The Food Network and slates of reality television shows. Well I wanted to give you a heads up about the next big thing… Devin Alexander. Her show Healthy Decadence with Devin Alexander is enjoying its second season on Discovery Health, and she is coming out with her third cookbook The Most Decadent Diet Ever in April 2008. She has had appearances on The View and Today Show and has acquired many female celebrity fans who like her low-calorie, decadent-style cooking (impossible, right?). She will be featured in a new Discovery Health show in January, National Body Challenge, to support her favorite cause: battling childhood and teen obesity. In the name of the cause, she is also slated to appear on a new teen weight-loss show next summer. She writes a column for Women’s Health magazine and consults for a variety of companies such as Smart Ones. Word is she wants to create healthy room service menus for hotels next.
