Ryan Seacrest, June Ambrose and Tyler Florence among Most Valuable Entertainment Tweeters
Today, many celebrity tweeters are on missions to get 1 millions followers. While this might be a monumental task, it does not necessarily mean that they are worth following. CNBC’s Darren Rovell recently came out with his Sports Twitter Rankings (July ‘09), focusing on users that consistently post interesting and relevant tweets.
Here’s First Call’s list of Most Valuable Entertainment Tweeters (in no particular order).
Perez Hilton (@PerezHilton)- The gossip blogger is known for his extreme and blunt comments and inappropriate doodles, but the blog and the tweets from @PerezHilton keep his followers in the know about celebrity scandals, sightings, new projects and accomplishments. His blog is devoted to the up-to-the-minute gossip from celebrities, while his tweets are used to interact with other celebrities and followers. He is often seen promoting albums of his favorite musicians, congratulating celebrities on their new projects and alerting his followers of different activist issues and causes. Ryan Seacrest (@RyanSeacrest) - It seems that media mogul Seacrest would be too busy to constantly use social media. But he finds the time to post about breaking news in Hollywood, his upcoming projects and even his favorite coffee and sushi restaurants. Whether it’s Idol news or his random thoughts, Seacrest’s impact in the Twitter world is unquestionable. (1,779,261 followers)
June Ambrose (@juneAmbrose) - Ambrose is a celebrity stylist bringing fashion and accessory advice to Twitter. Her tweets like “Tough Tuesday! Chai Tea time from Top Shop!
